Kellan Designs!

Kellan Andersen is a Pittsburgh based designer for theatre, film and special events. He is originally from Fort Pierce, Florida where he grew his interest for the stage and arts from the local rock music scene and his grandmother, a professional window dresser. Kellan received his bachelor of fine arts in set design from the University of South Florida in 2007. There he would receive the Kimberly Swan Award for Outstanding Scene Design for his work on “The Birthday Party”. After undergrad Kellan attended ​the Carnegie Mellon School for Drama where he received his Masters of Fine Arts. While attending he was awarded the Oren Parker Award in Design for his set design of “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying”. Kellan has worked as a scenic artist and design consultant for Carnegie Mellon University. Kellan works regularly on local film and commercials as a production designer and art director. Some of his latest clients are UPMC, Nintendo, Pittsburgh Dad, Highmark, PPG Paints, VICE, GNC, H&R Block, Google, PA Lottery, Mattel, Chewy and Elysium. He resides with his wife Sarah and cats Billie Moon and Merle Neptune in Lawrenceville.
